Helenka — curiosity about the world despite barriers.

She is a preschooler who wants to experience, get to know and be a part of everything that happens around. She likes people, reacts vividly, quickly catches in touch. Her energy doesn't come from mobility, but from openness and the need to be close to the world. Helenka learns to function in a reality that poses more challenges to her than her peers, but doesn't take away her curiosity or character. What does she face on a daily basis? Helenka has spina bifida, hydrocephalus and neurogenic bladder. She moves in a wheelchair and is completely dependent on the support of adults in her daily activities. Regular rehabilitation and specialist care help her develop fitness and increase comfort of daily functioning
