She is four and a half years old and recently started walking. Her gait is still uncertain, but each step is the result of enormous work and many hours of therapy. She speaks single words, reacts to loved ones and slowly builds his communication. Laura develops differently than most peers, but doesn't stand still. Every little progress makes a difference. What does she face on a daily basis? Laura was born after a high-risk pregnancy. As a result of hypotrophy, cerebral palsy occurred, which affects her motor and communication development. She also struggles with reflux, epilepsy, strabismus and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Diagnosis for spastic paraplegia is also underway. She speaks only single words and doesn'tt signal physiological needs. She requires constant care, regular rehabilitation and the support of specialists to increase her independence and improve the comfort of life.
