Michał Szefler
Michał - on the move, even if this movement is unpredictable.
He walks alone for short distances. For longer exits, he chooses a stroller. His gait is clumsy, his balance is sometimes a challenge, and his hands make involuntary movements characteristic of athetosis. That doesn't stop him from trying to act. He also communicates with the help of a speaker. He is looking for ways to be in touch and express himself. What does he face on a daily basis? Michał has cerebral palsy quadriplegia with athetosis and mild intellectual disability. The disease affects muscle tone and coordination of movements, which causes difficulties with balance and control of the hands. He can move independently over short distances, but he uses a stroller for longer periods of time. Requires support when dressing, eating and bathing. He uses foot orthoses, a verticalizer and a communication support device.
